February Empties!

It’s that time again, my empties box is full and I have quite a few products to share with you! Some of these products I loved some of them I really wasn’t crazy about them. Take a look at what I’ve been using!

1. Neutrogena Makeup Removing Wipes

The Neutrogena wipes have been around for a long time, and I’ve tried them a few times, but they really aren’t my favorite. They remove my makeup really well, but they leave this oily residue on my skin that I really don’t like.

2. Loreal Ideal Clean Makeup Removing Wipes

I’ve really been looking for great makeup removing wipes that work with my skin and thoroughly remove makeup. I saw the Loreal Ideal Clean wipes at Walgreens and decided to give them a shot, but I felt like I had to tug a lot on my skin to remove the makeup. So I think that it’s safe to say I’m still on the hunt for some great makeup removing wipes. Let me know in the comments section if there are any that work really well for you!

3. Korres Greek Yoghurt Cleanser

I have two cleansers I’ve tried and finished. The first is the Korres Greek Yoghurt Cleanser. I really liked this one because it has honeysuckle, which is a natural antibacterial and amaranth seed extract that is soothing. My skin is acne prone and I am very sensitive, those two ingredients kept my skin comfortable and helped with breakouts.

4. Fresh Soy Cleansing Milk Cleanser

Fresh is the number one skincare brand at Sephora. I’ve tried a few of their products, including the Soy Cleansing Milk Cleanser. To be honest, I wasn’t crazy about it. I feel like it left this weird film on my skin, and instead of removing the makeup from my skin it just moved it around. I like to feel clean after I wash my face, and unfortunately, this one just didn’t do it for me.

5. Fresh Lotus Reserve Moisturizer

Another Fresh Product that I tried is the Lotus Reserve Moisturizer, which wasn’t my favorite. I liked that I could smell the cucumber in it, and that helped to soothe the redness in my skin, but I didn’t really notice a huge difference.

6. Ole Henriksen Pore Balance Facial Sauna Scrub

If you have visited my blog before you know I have a special place in my skincare routine for Ole Henriksen. He came out with an entire line created just for oily skin types. The Pore Balance Facial Sauna Scrub is to die for. I struggle with large pores by my nose, and this product heats up as you massage it into your skin to open up the pores and cools as you rinse it to close them. It was like having my own spa in my home!

7. Maybeline Matte + Poreless Foundation

One of my favorite drugstore brands is Maybeline. They have really flourished in the last few years. I bought the Maybelline Matte + Poreless foundation not really knowing how much I would end up loving it! The coverage is great. I love the smooth matte finish, and the wear-time is phenomenal as well. It’s pretty similar to the Fenty foundation but not as dry.

8.Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

Oh Tarte, how did the makeup world survive without your ever-so-wonderful shape tape concealer?! I’m sure you have all heard of this little gem, and maybe you’ve even owned one or… five. What a beautiful, full coverage concealer that conceals discoloration, blemishes, and brightens the under eye area flawlessly. I prefer to apply this particular formula with a beauty blender as opposed to a brush or my finger because it is heavy and very creamy.

9. Kat Von D Lock It Creme Concealer

I clearly love full coverage concealers, so next up is Kat Von D Lock It Creme Concealer in Whiteout and in L7. I didn’t care for this formula. It was WAY to heavy for me even with a beauty blender. I’m not one to bake under my eyes with a translucent powder so I really don’t like concealers that I have to set. White Out is literally as white as paper, I used it to mix into thinner or darker foundations and concealers to change the consistency or the color of a product. This one creased and melted on my face when I tried to conceal blemishes on my cheeks. I need something that is going to last me all day no matter what or where I apply it.

10. Too Faced Born This Way Concealer

One more concealer and then I’m done, I swear! Too Faced Born This Way concealer is great for the under-eye and on the face for blemishes. I love to use this one for my clients who have dry skin or who like coverage without the heaviness of a thick, full coverage concealer. The coconut water helps hydrate and prevent creasing, it also has a warm undertone to it that helps with neutralizing discoloration under the eye to help brighten.

11. Urban Decay Razor Sharp Liquid Liner

Urban Decay has rocked my world yet again with their Razor Sharp Liquid Liner in the color Perversion. Eyeliner is just eyeliner, right? Wrong. This liner, in particular, won my heart with its easy application, color, and wear-time. I like liquid liners that have a brush applicator because they are easy for me to get a nice sharp wing. The other colors in this line of liners are not my favorite, however, Perversion is the darkest liner I’ve ever used. Once this liner sets, it doesn’t budge until you remove it with your makeup remover or favorite cleansing oil. One thing that I really liked about the formula is that it doesn’t run or melt because it dries down into this latex feeling finish.

You can tell I love concealers and skin care and those are the products I tend to go through like crazy! Stay tuned for more empties posts in the future!
