My Every Day Makeup Routine

Makeup is an art, but lets be real here, sometimes sleep is more important than putting on a full face of glam makeup. Some mornings I have to be at work at 6AM and it takes me an hour to get there so I  have to wake up super early to make sure I get there on time and let me tell you the first thing on my mind when I get up that early is not makeup. My everyday makeup routine is very simple and quick.

1. Primer: Milk Blur Stick

I have tried several foundation primers and none of them compare to the Milk Makeup Blur Stick. If you have visited my site before then you know that my skin is very sensitive and oily. I have a drawer that is overflowing with primer and foundation and yet I still grab for my Blur Stick daily for many reasons. This primer is so innovative, it is a retractable stick that absorbs oil, smooths the skin, and keeps makeup in place comfortably. I also like to use it on my nose throughout the day instead of blotting sheets because blotting sheets remove my makeup.

2. Foundation: Milk Blur Foundation

What I love about Milk is how their products do exactly what they say they’re going to do. The Blur Foundation is a matte formula that is so smooth and yes, blurring as well. I have several foundations that are matte but they are just TOO matte. Even though I’m oily I don’t like to be super matte and dry, I prefer a soft glow which is what I get as the day goes on with the blur foundation. If you want something that has wonderful staying power, is vegan, and cruelty free, give this guy a shot.

3. Bronzer:  Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder

Oh Bobbi Brown how I love you! It took me a long time to talk myself into purchasing this bronzer because it is pretty pricy. But the more I applied it on my clients the more I loved it so I added it to my makeup collection. I’ve used this matte bronzer everyday for about 3 months it’s incredible. It isn’t orange at all which I love because I feel like most bronzers turn orange really quickly. Bobbi Brown is one of my go to brands for skin like products, I’m not much of a contour girl so I love a nice sun kissed bronze touch on my skin.

4. Blush: Tarte Paaarty

When it comes to blush I am a big fan of Tarte because they are very soft but also pigmented enough to look like you’re a little flushed. Paaarty is was last years birthday gift at Sephora and I fell in love with the color on my skin, I just love the beautiful pinched cheek look it gives me. It has been my go to for the last 5 or 6 months!

5. Highlight: Too Faced Candlelight Glow

We are in a time where makeup is booming more than it ever has in the past. One trend that keeps getting bigger and bigger is highlighting the cheekbones with glowing, shimmering products. I have a range of colors but the one I gravitate towards the most for my everyday makeup routing is the Too Faced Candlelight Glow hightlight in Warm Glow. This highlight stole my heart the second I applied on my cheekbones. It really adds a perfect healthy glow to the skin without the flecks of glitter or an over abundance of shimmer.

6. Eyeliner: Makeup Forever Aqua XL Ink Liner (Brown)

Liquid liners are great for tight lining the eye naturally and adding a little wing or cat eye. Makeup Forever has a liquid liner called Aqua XL Ink Liner, it’s waterproof but it comes off easily with makeup remover. For everyday I use the brown because I don’t want my eyes to look too harsh, just defined.

7. Mascara: Benefit Bang

My newest mascara obsession is the Benefit Bang mascara. For everyday makeup I don’t like to use anything too heavy or dramatic on my lashes and this mascara lifts my lashes and gives them enough volume without being too full.

8. Brows: Anastasia Brow Wiz

The iconic Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz has been my go to brow pencil for about 3 years now. I have used other brands but this one is so precise, looks natural, and it doesn’t move throughout the day.

9. Gloss: Buxom Kristen

If you haven’t used Buxom lip glosses before you really are missing out. They are plumping, smooth, and not sticky at all. Spring is approaching so the color I’ve been drawn to is Kristen, which is a beautiful soft pink that goes great with everything.

10. Setting: Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist

Since I use matte products but I don’t like to look really matte, I set my makeup with the Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist. This setting spray is AMAAAZING! It sets my makeup and diffuses any powder I have on my face to make it look nice and hydrated.
