March Beauty Favorites

My Collection just keeps growing as I come across new launches and even products that have been out for years. Now that spring is here my skin is changing a bit and so is my product line up.

Skin Care:

If you’ve read any of my past blog posts you know I am a sucker for skin care. At the beginning of March I started using three new products and I haven’t stopped using them since. The first is a cleanser by a relatively new skincare line called Laneige, I use the Multi Cleanser for all skin types. This cleanser has very tiny micro-beads in it that gently exfoliate while leaving your skin feeling squeaky clean. I noticed a huge difference in my skin after using it just once, my skin was smoother and brighter.

Although the cleanser I’ve been using has exfoliating benefits, I still use Peter Thomas Roth Firm X Peeling Gel to remove the dry, dead skin from my face. Firm X is an enzymatic exfoliator, meaning it doesn’t have micro beads only fruit enzymes that attach to your dry skin, lift it, and roll it off your face. I also like to use it on my hands and even my feet if I don’t have enough time to go get a pedicure.

Algenist recently launched a product called GENIUS Liquid Collagen. Collagen is a natural anti aging property but Algenist added Omega’s 3,6, and 9 and they also added vitamin E. This product plumps the skin and I noticed it helped my texture and my scarring. I only use mine at night because it is pretty thick and I didn’t like how it felt under my makeup.

Complexion:

Milk Makeup has stolen my heart this month! I am not your typical oily girl, although I’m oily I don’t like to have a matte skin finish I like a radiant finish. But unfortunately radiant foundations don’t always last on my skin, so I tend to go for more soft matte foundations because as I get oily throughout the day my skin looks radiant on its own. The Milk Blur Foundation is perfect for me because it is a soft matte finish that covers my redness but doesn’t get cakey or heavy on my skin.

Milk Makeup Flex Concealer has been my go to all month, I haven’t used any other concealer since I purchased it at the beginning of March. The dark circle struggle is real you guys… I usually use a peach color corrector but not for this concealer! The color I chose is a little warm so it corrects and conceals, doesn’t crease, and stays on my skin all day long!

If you have never had a mini facial at your local Sephora, I highly recommend it. My skincare consultant introduced me to the Erborian CC Cream it is so unique! when you squeeze it out of the tube it comes out paper white, as you apply it to the skin it turns into your perfect shade. I like how skin like it is, it color corrects my skin and its comfortable. It is best to apply it with your fingers or very dense foundation brush. If you use a beauty blender you’ll end up using way more product than necessary.

Eyes:

The eyeshadow palette I’ve been using the most is the Natasha Denona Tropic Palette. This palette is SO beautiful and you can create a lot of different eye shadow looks with it. Of course the colors that stood out to me the most were Mint Frost, Exotic, and Laguna which are definitely the most bold shadows in the palette. It took me a few weeks to talk myself into it and I finally broke down and purchased it because the colors are to die for. You can get a very natural look or a very bold look from this palette. The reason why this palette is so pricey is because you are getting pressed pigment matte shadows and the glittery colors are crushed pearls and crystals.

I stopped using the Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara when I finished my last tube, but this month I’ve been using it a lot. I LOVE THIS MASCARA. It’s collagen fueled so it thickens, lengthens, and curls the lashes. The wand is an hourglass shape that is meant to grab every lash without having to wiggle it into the lashes.

Lips:

March as been the anti matte lip month for me. I’ve been using lip glosses on top of lipsticks and liquid lipsticks or by themselves because it looks more fresh and spring like. The two glosses I’ve been using the most is Bare Minerals and Buxom glosses! Bare Minerals is stepping up their makeup game big time, especially with these glosses, my go to color has been Heartbreaker. It is the perfect pink that goes with every outfit and just about any makeup look. Buxom lip gloss in the color Kristen has lived in my makeup bag and gone everywhere with me all month. I love the minty feel and the wet look this gloss gives. I’m not a fan of sticky lip gloss at all, I don’t like to feel it but these two glosses are so comfortable that I don’t even notice that they’re on my lips.
